Cherimae, a Star of CDO shares her experience as a trainee of the Webhelp Training programme Cherimae Mulos, 22 years old, Stars in the Training & Development Center of Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines Hi I am Cherimae Mulos, I am 22 years old and I resided at Cagayan de Oro City. My life used to be really challenging because I had stopped studying owing to financial difficulties. I'd given up hope. In that situation, I had no idea what my life goals would be or what I should expect in the future. I was on standby for approximately three months, but in the meantime, I was looking for scholarships to help pay for my tuition if I decided to return to school. However, because I'm a student, it's a little difficult. Some Educational Assistance Programs qualify for scholarship merit if the student is still in school. I realized I couldn't rely on this program since I felt empty. Since then, I've been fighting on my own and telling myself that I'll be able to find another fantastic opportunity. If others can do it, there's no reason why I can't. I was in City Hall, trying to find a job and enroll in the TESDA out-of-school youth program. When I met the previous former STAR President, he introduced me to the Life Project 4 Youth Organization, which was a fantastic opportunity. I was piqued, and after some consideration, I decided to join. I was first nervous since the coaches were foreigners who spoke fluent English, a language in which I am not competent. I'm finding it difficult to fit in with the team, especially since I'm dealing with Deaf Youths. It's a new atmosphere for me, and I'm having to adjust to their perceptions and be aware of my actions. Nonetheless, I persisted in attending the training. I'm grateful that I was able to conquer those challenges and learn something from them. The coaches, the team, and the training have all aided me in being a professional in all areas of competence. Not only has it aided me in becoming a professional, but it has also changed me to have a direction and set objectives for my future, which is something I had never considered before. I value the Coaches' constant guidance, inspiration, and positive affirmations that I could achieve more than I ever imagined. I admire the Team's support, happy times, and the opportunity to create wonderful memories that I will treasure. The WEBHELP Training Program, one of LP4Y's partners, assisted and trained me to gain a professional job, and I am currently employed at Concentrix as a Customer Service Representative, specifically as an Advisor I Transaction Marketing Advisor, for almost a year and counting. I can confidently state that all of my personal and professional experiences, as well as the challenges I've faced in leading the team, have shaped me into the best version of myself that I am today. I am eternally grateful to Life Project for Youth for transforming people's lives into a brighter and more colorful future and for making them better people. I don't think I'll ever be able to thank them enough, but I'll do my best to share my experiences and transmit my knowledge in order to inspire the next generation of TDC Cagayan de Oro Youth. Finally, my message to everyone is that you alone, and no one else, have the power to transform your life. Nothing is impossible, and you are free to dream. Simply begin with yourself, plan one step at a time, and remember that God has better plans for you. Fighting, and TOGETHER WE CAN !

Mariechu, a Star of TDC Tondo, shares her experience as part of the Stars club! Mariechu Peralta, Support Project Manager of Stars Club in the Philippines Good day everyone, I am Mariechu Peralta, a former Youth of Bloom program, one of the previous programs here at the Tondo Training Development Center. I am currently working for LP4Y as the Support Project Manager of Stars Club Philippines and the Star digital Catalyst of the Philippines, Stars Club is a group of Youths who finished the PTE (the Professional Training for Entrepreneurs in LP4Y) and now have to face the real world, outside the Training Development Centers. As their main contact I am helping them to find a decent job, guiding them with their job search , creating events to make a connection between LP4Y and to their fellow stars, giving them some advices professionally and emotionally, yes I am also sometimes giving them some advices and motivations when they are encountering some problematic situations in their life but I am only doing it when they are willing to open it up with me and I am also searching for possible partners that can give them job, trainings and internships. And as of the moment I am currently focusing on creating events for the stars and creating some projects to empower them because in the past 2 years we are a bit in a pause due to the pandemic. I know that I should make the stars club active again. Because the stars club is a great help to all of the stars, in this organization they can find a lot of ways and motivation to reach their dreams. I am here to accompany them because I know that we can suddenly feel stress when we don't find a job or when we feel lost because of the an expected circumstances. This is never easy but the key is to never give up and to keep learning on our every failure. As former President of the Stars Club in Kathmandu, Puja shows us the importance of networking and how the Stars Club helped her in her professional aspirations! Puja Dhungana, Namaste everyone, I am Puja Dhungana from Nepal. I was the president of the Stars club of the Green Village Nepal. I am delighted to say that recently I have completed working as a president in our Stars club. During this journey all of us have acquired and enhanced each other skills. For us stars club is the perfect platform and a network where we can continues our learning progress by doing. The main objective of our stars club is to support and help each other to grow because we really believe together we can and together everyone achieve more.Its easy to be motivated and inspire but it's hard to stay motivated and inspired but stars club has been helping and pushing us to be motivated and stars can relate to each other problems and find a solution within ourselves.it's not only about stars we have been trying to contribute something from outside by organizing different kind of activity because we know that change starts from individual and we need to be the change we wish to see in the world by doing whatever we can do from outside. Stars clubs network help us to find a job and by sharing the job vacancy if there is any in there company and sometimes by organizing a workshop on a job search and career related topic. It gives us different energy. We will shine brighter everyday to remove the darkness of our life and to able to give the light to the world one day that is the true definition of stars club for us. During this journey we have been clearly understood that a deep self motivation to achieve something only can bring the result. We have freedom to choose our life we might have have very bad time with full of fears to come out but still the factors is we are free to choose we have that freedom of choice. Personally I have develop different kind of skills during this year which has been very useful for my personal and professional life. I used to be afraid sometimes that may be I won't be able manage time for stars club because I am very far from the center and I have my own stuff to do. We all say I am busy but actually we are not because busy people know how to manage themselves. but with time now I have realized that we all have 24 hours we can't manage time we have to manage ourselves with in the time so it's not about time it's all about about an energy and motivation. Now I believe In energy management. And the another most important lesson that I have learnt during this year was management is doing things right, leadership is doing the right things ,management efficiency is in climbing the ladder of success:leadership determines whether the ladder is leaning against the right wall. Stars club has been helping us to become a better us day by day by working on ourselves. For that I am eternally grateful towards LP4Y and all the members of our club. Thank you !

Sushila shares her experience as Star Digital! Sushila Shrestha, 20 years old, Stars Digital Hello!! My name is Sushila Shrestha and I’m 20 years old. I live in Kathmandu, Nepal. I have a big family of 20 members but only me and my Elder brother live in Kathmandu and the rest of the family used to live in a village (Khotang-Nepal). I love to do Drawings, I love to visit new places and meet new people, I love to do creativities as well. I used to stay at home doing nothing before LP4Y (Life Project For Youth) during the pandemic of covid. I had no Job as well as professional skills before but the hope of willingness was alive. I was new in the community so I faced many challenges to start my new life in the community where I was going to settle. Slowly I started to make friends as well as neighbors so I can feel comfortable around the community. One day one of my friends Ashmita Thapa invited me to visit LP4Y and explain that the organization is helping the womens by giving them the opportunity of English and Computer training. Then I joined LP4Y and I found it was different then I thought. I joined LP4Y (Life Project 4 Youth) in July 2020 and finished the PTE(Professional Training for Entrepreneur) in December 2020. Before I used to be a former youth of LP4Y and during the 6 months of Professional training I gained helpful knowledge as well as I improved my professional and personal skills. I learned how I can introduce myself to others, how to take a lead and promote the team, How to search Job offers, How to succeed in an Interview, How to steak with the job and so on… After I finished the training I started to look for a job as a Barista but unfortunately Because of some challenges I was unable to find one. Then I decided to work as a laborer and the leader didn’t pay me the full amount that I had worked for, so I decided to quit the job. Then later some weeks I attended STARS CLUB(A club of the youths who finish the training) Meeting and heard of a job opportunity as a DIGITAL STARS. I applied for that position and was hired for it. Now, being a DIGITAL STARS my main mission is to help the STARS to get a Decent Job according to their Target and Dream Job (Short term/Long term). Some of my missions are: Organize Events (Physical webinar / Digital webinar) once a month Make Partnerships with the companies (To get professional Trainings/ Testimony/ Company visit/ Internship/ Job opportunities for the STARS) Help the STARS to get a decent Job (By providing training i) Digital ii) Physical, Helping to improve needed skills i) Soft ii) Hard, Taking mock Interview and so on.. Make follow-up of the STARS (Necessary information + Working/Job search) Making Job Descriptions Posting Job offers and so on…. Now I’m so happy to get a decent job. Thanks to LP4Y and Digital STARS Team, for your help and support. I would love to apply the skills and the work experience that I have learned in lp4y in the future as well. Now I’m working in LP4Y but I have my own dream to have my own small business . My future plan is to go abroad and learn different skills as well as gaining knowledge of business. I am 23 years old. I have seven members in my family. I live in Hlaingtharyar at the end of Yangon. Before I entered LP4Y, I didn't know what I wanted to do, what I wanted to be and what was my dream. Since I entered LP4Y, the Coaches supported me to think about myself and my dreams. And then daily quotes in LP4Y made me feel motivated. That's what, I was stronger to try my target job. For internship, I went to CMA ships Myanmar company ltd. They are so professional. Before I wear Myanmar traditional attire. To wear a professional attire was a challenge for me. Since in LP4Y, I knew time management, team work and focusing on work is important. So I finished my internship in CMA ships Myanmar company ltd. My target was to get a job in CMA ships. I waited for so many time to start my target job because of COVID and this situation. Now I am starting my target job in CMA ships. Time management, team work, focusing, English, digital skills and google suits that Coaches in lp4y trained was so useful for me. Thank you LP4Y. Roseayu, a Star of the TDC Surabaya shares her story and how LP4Y helped her believing in herself! Roseayu Trycia Adinda Maharani, 19 years old, Entrepreneur Step/ President of Stars Club TDC Surabaya Hello Everyone! My name is Roseayu Trycia Adinda Maharani. I graduated from state vocational high school 1 in Purwokerto, Indonesia and my major is Administration Office. I joined LP4Y, TDC Surabaya in August 2021. Before I joined LP4Y I was trying to find a job, but it was difficult to find one because I didn't have the facilities. This is one of the reasons I joined LP4Y. After 2 months joining LP4Y, I decided to leave because I got a job as an Admin at the Online Shop. However, after 1 week of work I was discriminated against as my boss found out that I had a heart disease and he fired me. I feel so sad and unfair. I tried to tell the coach and they invited me to rejoin LP4Y. LP4Y is where I feel accepted and have the opportunity to develop my potential. I can speak English with confidence, I have the opportunity to manage my team, and this is where I found my true self. I know what I want to do for my future. Besides that, I also feel like I have a family to talk to about anything. I hope the young women out there can feel and have the same opportunity as me. In January 2022 I started a full job search. At first I was very excited to do it, but it turned out to be not as easy as I imagined. It’s very difficult to get a job. I have applied to more than 50 companies and have had many interviews but no one has accepted me. I felt hopeless and shy to come to the center every day because I've been looking for a job for 2 months. Sometimes I feel envious of my friends who have got jobs. But I have a coach who always cheers me up. And finally I got a job! I hosted a live streaming at one of the big baby care companies. I am very happy because this job fits my personality. To all excluded youth around the world I hope you guys keep the spirit, don't feel isolated, believe in yourself that you can be what you want to be. Remember, there is LP4Y who always accepts you who has the motivation to change your life, regardless of background. Thank you LP4Y for making such a big difference in my life!

Romain tells us more about his journey in LP4Y and his mission as PM Stars! Romain Butticker, Project Manager Stars Club located in India Hello everyone, I’m glad to share today with you my testimony about my current position and the different actions related to the Stars Clubs. I’m currently 30 years old and this is my fourth year in LP4Y. For me, immersing myself in the life of international volunteering was obvious, I had applied and chosen only one organization at the time, because LP4Y was in perfect harmony with my values, on how to contribute usefully and have a strong impact on our environment. I was coach during my 2 first years, started with the program in Jail, Lapu lapu city in the Philippines, then a year in Paharganj center in Delhi, India, few months as a GV Leader in the Green Village Chhattisgarh and now I’m continuing for the second year as the Project Manager Stars Clubs - South & South East Asia. The “Stars Club” is an organization composed by the Youth alumni of the PTE, reaching at the end of 2021 more than 1285 active members divided between 27 different Stars Clubs. “Each LP4Y Center has its own STARS Club. Managed by the STARS themselves, it plays an empowering role. It also provides professional exposure since the STARS represent LP4Y in their professional and personal environment. They thus contribute to the LP4Y ecosystem.” My responsibilities actually are to coordinate all the Stars Clubs activities and projects, create innovations and find solutions, make a precise follow-up and constant diagnostics of the different centers, support the Stars and their catalysts referent daily, participate to their job insertion, boost the mobilization, anticipate the budget and also review the guidelines & rules. My mission is not only to execute my work well but also to maintain & develop relationships with various of our collaborators that promote unity in our action. It allows me and gives me the chance to interact with many people all around the world. Partners, NGOs, Youth, Stars and Catalysts, all working together for one goal, unleash the potential of each other by supporting our different goals. 2020 marked a very intense year with the arrival of the pandemic and the closure of the centers, symbolizing an overhaul of the operating structure, calling for our constant resilience and adaptation. Many actions have been implemented during this time, with the launch of different Task Forces, mobilizing many Stars, proposing them to help via digital, stories & mobilization and a weekly follow-up for them, providing close support regarding their needs and difficulties when they were facing the lockdown. 2021 was a year full of innovations and challenges. The importance of reconnection and mobilization with the different Stars Clubs was crucial. Following the project “ From Star to Catalyst “ which is intended to give more responsibilities and opportunities for the Stars in the long term, developing structures, processes and tools to increase STARS’ commitment to their role as Catalysts. A lot of achievements were accomplished like the creation of new Star Digital positions ( helping for the follow up, the professional insertion, the digital events, posting job offers and creating links with corporations ), the update of all the guidelines, the Stars seminars, the pilot project mentoring Star 4 Youth and many events. The perspectives in 2022 are clear, we need to consolidate our pillars and continue to increase the interaction between the Stars Clubs and the centers by organizing events and continue to implement in each center the different Stars positions, tools and activities; increase their interactions by further developing mentorship, as Youth mentored by a Star, Star mentored by Partners, connect with some organization outside LP4Y, like the mentoring program with HEC Paris who pair Stars and students in France and follow workshops about the personal and professional development by sharing their experiences, or Yunus project, who give the possibility for groups of Stars to create their own NGO around 3 topics : climate, fight against poverty and the social inclusion/employment. We need to continue to push on their professional insertion and increase the general mobilization. It is impossible here to share all the experiences I have had since I joined LP4Y, as they are so numerous and so impactful. I can only say that in 3 completed years, I feel like I have lived several lives! This life opportunity helped me find and confirm my way, to share a multitude of human moments with people from all walks of life, cultures and religions. It pushed me to question myself, to shake my beliefs, to improve my resilience, not to mention the enormous professional lift. I have developed many skills, in communication, in pedagogy, in event management, finance, organization , in leading multiple projects etc etc I knew how to push my limits day after day, to have more self-confidence and to feel accomplished, cultivating joy and being at peace with my soul. I do not regret at any time having plunged into this unique adventure by following my instinct, agreeing perfectly with the benevolent fraternal values ​​towards which our world must tend. I would like to thank all the team of LP4Y, the Youths and all of our collaborators to make this possible and to offer a chance to everyone to find an inner balance and a decent life. I’m feeling grateful daily.

Akanksha Singh shares about her new mission as mentor for the Star 4 Youth new programme of mentorship! Akanksha Singh, Training & Development Center Sangam Vihar, Delhi, India Hello, My name is Akanksha Singh. I am president of the Stars club and now mentor for the Youth since the beginning of this this project. I was feeling so glad to work on this project - This project is really amazing because it take you hand by hand and teaches you a lot of thing for example: Enhance development , networking opportunities, problem solving, knowledge transfer, becoming recognized as an adviser, gaining new perspective, validating the mentor 's leadership skills, finding new talent and skills in yourself, being more patient, respecting individuality. My main goal associated with this project is to give guidance, motivation and find the right direction for my mentee to succeed for her future goals. When I started this project it was a little difficult for me but day by day after knowing each other we understood each other and we both improved our communication skills and also we created an open and supportive climate for discussion between us. I love this project it's gaining experiences and provide us constructive feedback and advice. My mentee name is Tejaswini Singh. She is very active, supportive and responsible so i enjoyed her company. She give respect to my valuable time and she appreciate my work. This project teach us a lot of thing. Thank you.

From GV Raipur to OT technician, Asha shares her inspiring journey with LP4Y! Asha Singare, Green Village Chhattisgarh, India I'm Asha Singare from Raipur. I have completed my schooling from government higher secondary school Lalpur Raipur Chhattisgarh. And now I'm doing OT technician course from Sainath paramedical College Raipur. I want to talk about my LP4Y experience means how LP4Y changed my life. Before GV I was working in a doll factory as a labour near my home, on that time I was not feeling well because there had no value for me or a labour no respect. I didn't want to work there but the condition of my family was not good then I listened about AREENA group of company. I went after 1 month of working I knew that it is a fake consultancy and our owner have left Chhattisgarh to take all money. I was very sad I was blaming myself that I can not do anything... After the death of my father, my mother had managed all things. I have 1 brother and 1 sister in my family. We are 4 members in my family. For my mom it was very very hard to stay too far of other family without any back support in city Raipur. She had big issue about our education our future and all things have to manage my mom. But I couldn't do anything I wanted to do something for my mother but I was helpless. I used to disappointed. I had the dreams but how to achieve no idea, no goal, no target because of financial issues. We were unable to do anything. I was thinking only about negativity. But one day Elam Coach told us about Green Village. I was thinking that it can happen that I can speak English I can use computer.. Then next day I came Green Village to visit and I met with coaches and batches. I felt very happy but little fear because they are looking very professional and speaking English. After few days I came green village and join.. in the beginning I was hesitate to met and talk with all but after few days I was comfortable in GV.. here I was changing to another Asha like: I know my self, my skills, my qualities, my target, my power. Before GV I didn't have the target, in GV I'm knowing my target and how to achieve my dreams through of my short term goal.. I learnt here that you have to find your own solution of your problems... In my job search I couldn't find a Job because I was searching for job which I can study and near my home .. I couldn't find then by networking I got vacancy in kamla women's hospital Raipur for receptionist then next day I went there for interview and I got selected after this I joined my job and college also.. I was very happy that I found job near my home and college also..and yes! GV has changed my life after 1 month I got a chance to go in Sanjeevani Cancer Hospital for my training, experience and knowledge with the help of my mother and OT staff of Sanjeevani Cancer Hospital.. today I'm managing all of three very well... And yes! Now I have my own value my own respect. For my inspiration and motivation - my mother is my role model because I saw my mother always working for our better future..and for my motivation I have my coaches they all have always motivated me to do something to make your family proud.. my all coaches are my guide. And my seniors of OT staff they always motivating me to improve in my work, education and life also. And my counterparts and colleagues they always explaining me the things of my work and motivated me to do better. Now I'm living a good life. I am proud of myself that I can help my mother physically mentally and financially... GV has given me a level of confidence. And lastly I want to say- your positive action combined with positive thinking and results is success.

Noémie tells us more about how LP4Y made her feel alive in many ways! Noémie Cabantous, Philippines At 27, I changed my life. Now, could it be your turn? May 2020. In the midst of the pandemic, I needed liberty, optimism and I had a strong desire to get involved in a cause close to my heart: to show that everyone has their place in this world, and can aspire to a brighter future. This is why, despite people telling me “you’re not 20 anymore” and “coming back surely will be difficult”, I joined Life Project 4 Youth, an international movement dedicated to the social and professional inclusion of Young Adults. In the 77th episode of Nouvel Œil, Victoria Guillomon asks Arthur Auboeuf what advice he would like to give young people today. Arthur is offering us a mediation. Close your eyes, project yourself old, bent, without energy, looking at nature through the window and asking with all your might "I would so love to go back to when I was 27, I would love it so much”. Then open your eyes and feel this urge of energy, which pushes us to dare, explore, be free to finally say to ourselves “before being that old, I will first be that young!” ... To feel there, alive”. As I joined LP4Y at 27, I had 1000 opportunities to feel alive! Alive when sharing touching, funny and most of the time totally unpredictable moments with LP4Y Youth, their families and my colleagues in the slums areas of Dhaka and Manila. Alive when I bursted into tears when the nth lockdown in Manila came up last summer, which canceled most of the actions I had worked on for months with partners in the Philippines. Alive when I exploded with joy reading Wendy’s text, an alumni, who told me she just got her dream job for 4 years at Decathlon Philippines that will allow her to get out of poverty. Alive when I saw Rhamzi’s look who realized, a few days before the end of his PTE, that his discretion was his best asset and that the other Youth appreciated his trustworthiness in team projects. Today, I’m almost 29. I learnt that everything is possible, and that our experiences are what make us special. At the end of this month, my LP4Y mission will be over. I will go back to France, to start a new project that fits me 100% and I never could have imagined 1 year ago!

Sharmi, Community Catalyst of GV Bangladesh, shares with us her fresh eye report! Sharmi Hossain My global feedbacks New job! Well, I think everyone who has read the job description knows that it is not just another 9 AM-5PM job. It is a platform for growth, personal and professional development and testing and exploring someone’s own abilities. I have never seen it as a job, I see it as an experience, an adventure. I dared myself to live in a village far away from my own city, my home, my family; live a community life with co-workers who were unfamiliar to me, with the youths just with the intention to grow. I knew it would require volunteerism, flexibility. It is true that I was sure about myself of getting along well with people from multicultural backgrounds but not sure about the people, the team, the community. To be honest, there were so many not so positive assumptions in my head like I may start to feel alone, isolated, fear of getting misunderstood because of cultural differences in norms and other things, missing the people closer to me, not feeling secure enough in the rural community, or I may not communicate what I want to communicate and so on. Now I laugh at myself for this. The team is no less adaptable and understanding than me. I am thankful how the team is always patient with me, always there for me to help me to get through anything unknown to me. I am exploring so many things that I can not even explain. The community our team is surrounded by is so welcoming, helpful and accepting. I learnt that it is necessary to go out of someone’s comfort zone, if they really want to grow and test their own ability. My mission After spending a little less than 1 month in Green Village Bangladesh and learning continuously about my role as a Community Catalyst I know that my mission is to support the Youth to their integration in the professional world as much as I can by developing their soft skills like leadership, autonomy, teamwork, time management, professional behavior, organization, planning, adaptability, resiliency and so on. On the other hand, hard skills like digital literacy and English language. Working on Youth's skills I think is easier than dealing with their emotions as a Community Catalyst. It is just because I am there for them mostly in their informal time and I stay close to them. Sometimes some youths are over-caring for me and sometimes some youths behave too informally with me (I understand it is just because they think I am someone who is closer to them like a relative, but they are learning to see me as a coach, afterall they are our very first batch and I am also new and still exploring . I am trying my best to maintain my catalyst posture. We all are adapting. I get confused when they behave childish or not showing the expected behaviour. Am I handling it accurately or not? Sometimes, I ask for advice from my team. Sometimes It is hard to balance empathy and Indifference (I am not sure about this word), like my empathetic human mind is telling- help the youth but the catalyst posture is telling- Let her to solve the problem on her own, she is able! The Welcome Weeks I think if someone gets supportive co-workers then the work becomes easier. In my case that's the answer. Because I had no experience of working with people from different countries, almost everyday I met a new Catalyst through google meet and they were considerate enough to give advice and share their experiences. It helped me to grow my confidence. I had some troubles with understanding the french accent but it was taken care of by our GV Bangladesh Leader Mylène Wang. Most of the time there was a flow of information and I started to get overwhelmed and to doubt my ability to do that particular thing. But I am persisting and getting through it all with the help of my teammates. I understand my joining of GV Bangladesh is somewhat different because after some days of my joining, our team first welcomed our first batch of youth and I think I am actually learning by doing. I don't consider myself experienced enough to tell what is to improve actually, without knowing the exact scenario behind what is visible. In the Green Village The food without meat and fish, living a community life, conscious and purposeful consumption of organic and plastic products, minimum waste and the whole idea of Green Village is surprising. I have never imagined this kind of working environment existed. It is a purposeful lifestyle towards sustainability. I want this project to grow and make the expected change. Weekly planning is another thing I appreciate, it leads to being organized. Finally I hope after one year I become the person I want to be- full of resilience, hopeful with myself and everything that I will experience in the future. I would like to thank my teammates Mylène, Jérémy, Shams, and Raisa. I couldn’t have any other better team than this in Green Village Bangladesh. And I also appreciate the consideration and helpfulness of other catalysts who I am connected to on whatsapp and email. Now everything is getting clearer and better day by day. More or less 20 days after my joining, I got the chance to go through inception training and it was inspiring and a reminder why we are here.

Regine Dela Cruz, Philippines Be the change you wish to see in the world - Mahatma Gandhi Love your neighbor as yourself - Leviticus 19:18 I decided to work here at LP4Y as a coach because I want to share my experience to inspire the Youth that "Poverty is not a hindrance to success". I started my mission at LP4Y February 2021, having the excitement to have a new adventure in life and more importantly to meet the Youth that I will be guiding. I want to become an inspiration to them as well, that I, "myself" was from a poor family like them but persevered to finish my education despite hardships of life. Here I am, I started my mission at LP4Y as a coach of Care 4 Change 1 Program specifically. I felt the warm welcome by the coaches and Youth when I arrived at Tondo. Likewise, I'm excited and inspired by the goal of LP4Y "Guide the Youth, for them to be more Independent and Job ready to become Entrepreneurs of their own lives". My first 3 months here, of course as a teacher by profession, I used to become an authoritarian; a strict one. Whatever I tell, the Youth must do it right away. My point of view changed when I realized that it's not effective for the Youth. They are adults already, young mothers to be exact and some of them are out of school Youth. They don't need that kind of approach, you have to have a connection with the Youth, so that they are doing their task or whatever it is because they are enjoying it, not just because the youth is afraid of the coach. Make a connection to the Youth I suggest. The Youth came from excluded backgrounds. Some of them have not so good past, have very sensitive experiences, have dark past, from broken families and so on. I've found out also that the TDC is the Youth comfort zone, where in everytime they are here at TDC, the Youth forget their problems at home for the meantime, they feel safe, welcomed, loved, appreciated, noticed, belonged, important and for the Youth it's really just like a home together with their fellow Youth making a good memories in their 6 months of professional training. As I do my individual Guidance or Individual talk to our Youth, we get to know them deeper, their family background, aspirations, dreams, attitudes, behaviors, strengths, weaknesses, skills and uniqueness. Through LP4Y, some Youth who lost their hopes, have new hope. Youth who have no self-direction found meaning in life. The Youth have now goals to achieve. No good future before, but now they have perseverance and dedication not just to stay where they are now but to have a better place and situation in life. Indeed LP4Y is a life changing experience to the coaches and to the lives of Youth. Me, as a coach personally learned to have goals in life really, and of course it must have a timeline. There was a time during LPP (Life Project Plan) presentation of the Youth, the Youth are doing their LPP. I asked myself "Do I have plans in life?". Yes I have plans but no timeline on it. Now, I have plans with a timeline, knowingly that through hard work we can achieve it. LP4Y is indeed giving a big Impact to the Youth lives, Youth family, friends, to the community, to the country and of course to the whole world as well. To light up the dreams of Youth that had been killed by the hardships of life. LP4y is bridging the gap of poverty to lessen the poor family globally. This 6 months Professional Training for Entrepreneurs will help the Youth a lot not only professionally but also physically (supporting the Youth professional attire, pants, shoes, bag etc. if they don't have any, to have a decent look), emotionally (because LP4Y is training the Youth to manage their emotions promptly. Emotions must not affect their whole being as individual who has dream in life in order for the Youth to pursue), socially (LP4Y trains the youth to be sociable, overcome fear of standing; even speaking in a crowd and sharing ideas to others) and intellectually (LP4Y trains the youth to have critical thinking in different situations or events). Through the various trainings, community trainings, workshops, internship opportunity, company visit, MEI (Micro Economic Initiative), administrative tasks, collective guidance, english business trainings, e-learning(Digital Inclusion), mobilization, sales etc. will shape and enhance the whole being of the youth. Huge thanks to LP4Y for this kind of opportunity for the Youth. In helping them to have clear direction in life. Indeed for me, It was a great experience working with the LP4Y family, especially to those I worked with at the center. Working for the same goal "for Youth inclusion". This experience as a coach gives me excitement to be excited of what will happen for a day, to wake up everyday with a smile and be joyful to see the progress of Youth all the way. Lastly, this opportunity and experience guiding the Youth taught me lots of lesson such as be appreciative; appreciate your life or what you have because we are blessed compared to others' situation, be humble because there are people who are looking at you as their model or example to be followed and even they are looking at you as their one of inspirations to achieve all their dreams or aspirations in life.
