My name is Sabah El Omar. I am 21 years old, and I’m Syrian, living in Lebanon. I want to share how one opportunity changed my skills, my confidence, and my future as an entrepreneur.
Before Life Project 4 Youth (LP4Y), I felt lost. I didn’t really know what I was doing with my life. I was only studying and focusing on getting a degree, but I didn’t have a clear direction or confidence about my future. When I first learned about LP4Y, everything changed.
LP4Y helped me understand that education is more than just a degree. It helped me improve my English, my computer skills, and my knowledge of marketing. I also developed important life skills, such as communication, teamwork, and self-confidence.
During my journey, I learned how to manage my time better. Before, I often struggled to balance different tasks and responsibilities, but through daily schedules, deadlines, and teamwork, I understood the importance of planning, setting priorities, and staying organized. This helped me become more responsible and productive.
I also learned how to work effectively in a team. I discovered that teamwork is not only about working together, but also about communication, respect, and supporting one another. I learned how to listen to different opinions, share ideas, and solve problems as a group, which helped me build confidence and trust in others.
In addition, I learned how to be a leader.
Being a leader does not mean giving orders, but guiding, motivating, and taking responsibility.
I learned how to encourage my teammates, make decisions, and stay calm during challenges. This experience helped me believe more in myself and my abilities.
After completing my journey with LP4Y, many opportunities opened up for me. Today, I work as a freelance graphic designer, where I manage social media accounts, create visual content, and help brands communicate their ideas creatively. This role allows me to use both the technical and soft skills I developed.
I am also a small business owner.
I run my own business called Peachy Dreams, where I create unique and meaningful gifts.
This business represents my creativity, passion, and determination. Building Peachy Dreams has taught me independence, responsibility, and the importance of believing in my vision.
Looking back, LP4Y played a major role in shaping who I am today. It gave me the skills, confidence, and direction I needed to grow into the professional and entrepreneur I have become.
I would also like to sincerely thank our amazing Catalysts. Their guidance, patience, and constant support made a huge difference in our journey. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for always believing in us. Every word of advice, every piece of guidance, and every moment you spent supporting us made a lasting impact.
